This antique 1890 children's hardcover book is titled: "Our Childhood's Holidays" by Chatty Cheerful. Published by "Cassell Publishing Company...104 & 106 Fourth Avenue, New York", and is "Copyright, 1890..By O.M. Dunham." It measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4", has 162 pages, and has vintage ads inside front and back covers (Beecham's, Van Houten's Cocoa, Pear's Soup, and more), along with wonderful Victorian-era illustrations throughout. Please note condition, as with all very old books, there usually are some flaws from mishandling or bad storage. Condition: Pages have no major creasing ( a couple of corners folded down, is all) ; last two pages have a corner torn and a few have tiny tears at very edge ; no writing or scribbling ; spine has been repaired with professional book binding see-through tape ; a few center pages are separating from spine and need to be taped to spine for further preservation ( I did not want to do the repair, as a buyer may want a professional book binder to do so) ; only a few pages have age spotting along border and pages do have age discoloration ; regardless of these flaws, this book's pages/ illustrations are all nice enough to be framed and are in good condition, as the pages do not have creasing/tearing in center, etc..and have held up well for 118 years.
