THE CLUE IN THE JEWEL BOX, #20, by Carolyn Keene, Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1943. This book is the 1960 printing, according to Farah's Guide. It does not have an interior list, and has the blue & white multipic endpapers, with the original 1943 text. Tweed style boards. The dust jacket lists to Clue in the Old Stagecoach. The back lists to Dana Girls #22 Mystery of the Bamboo Bird. The back flap lists to Vicki Barr Silver Ring Mystery. The book itself is in good shape. The usual edge and corner wear, some fading, especially on the spine. Top paper edging (dark blue) did bleed down the side edge. Owner's name written inside but blotted out with green felt pen. Looks like bookplate or other stickers removed front endpapers in three spots, one spot in back. The dust jacket is in fair condition. Lots of tears, pieces missing, mostly at the bottom of the spine and bottom left front. Heavy creasing. Blue colored staining to both flaps at the top. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SERIES BOOK AUCTIONS!
